We plan to upgrade a large number of Office 2003 installations to Office 2007
using a silent installation delivered to them via System Center Configuration
Manager. Testing reveals that the removal of previous installations of the
apps fails if they are running when the 2007 installation completes. Is
anyone aware of a mechanism that could be used to only allow setup.exe to run
if no Office 2003 app is running, and then to prevent any 2003 app from being
launched until the 2007 install completes?
Thanks
