Silly Question

Hey gang,

If I buy the upgrade version of FP2003 and install it will it ask me for
'qualifying media' the same as an upgrade version of any Windows OS. In
other words will inserting the full version of FP2002 suffice for the
installation?

I ask because I have FP2002 Full version on disk and want to know before I
go and blow $100.00USD for nothing. TIA

I haven't updated to FP 2003 but a 'strange' thing happened to me when I
installed the FP 2002 upgrade on a brand new hard drive. I spent half the
morning locating the previous FP media before the install but was never
prompted for it???

I contacted the seller of the upgrade and they verified it was the upgrade
version and not the full one - - - go figure.

It would be interesting to hear from any FP 2003 upgraders.

Yes, you will need to point to the qualifying product.
Actually yes and no...

I just bought a new machine after my previous one blew chunks and
installed office-XP-pro first then frontpage 2003 upgrade. I was
waiting for it to ask for my fp2000 CD and it never did.. on my
previous machine , which didn't have office Xp installed at the time I
put fp2003 on, it asked for the fp2000 CD...

go figure...

Without reading the specifics, could Office XP Pro have been the qualifying
product?
