Similar problem as Misha on Feb 26

I have Outlook 2002 and would like the Address Book that
comes up when I click the "To" botton in New message to
be in alpahbaetical order by last name instead of first
name. I tried the fix recommended by Russ Valentine to
Misha yesterday (Tools> E-mail accounts > View or change
existing directories or address books > Outlook Address
Book > Change)but it did not work because I don't use the
Address Book, just Contacts. I did right click Contacts >
Properties> Outlook Address Book > Show this folder as an
email Address Book > Name of the address book: Contacts
[and the check box is checked].

The Address Book uses your Contacts.
Use the method I posted.
What setting did you select?
What is your default Files As field format?

Russ - now it's working - the entries are alphabetical by
last name as I wanted. I don't know why they weren't the
first time I checked. Maybe I needed to reboot. At any
rate, thanks very much for the help.

You need to restart Outlook before the setting take effect.
