Simple Find only looks forward on shared calendar?

We have a user that uses the Simple Find box to seach a shared calendar.
Previously, she was able to get all results, regardless of date. Recently,
only appointments or events from the future are being displayed, nothing from
the past. I haven't been able to find much detailing Simple Find. Any help
would be appreciated!
