simple fingerprint recognition

Hello All,

I am new to this forum and would like to ask the following question.
I wanna create a simple database in access with username and their
correspondending fingerprint.

e.g.
I type in the name of the user, when that user goes over the fingerscanner,
it will says users verified, and that cell is locked.

hope you guys can help,
regards from Germany,

e-mo

I believe that this functionality would be part of the fingerprint scanner
itself. It needs to have firmware built in which will output a signal to the
cell in the same manner as a barcode reader.

The vendor of the fingerprint reader should give you some DLLs and
such that you can then use inside Access along with some sample code.

Note that you'd better be storing the fingerprint data inside SQL
Server or other secure system. Or, if I was an employee, I'd quit.
