Simple Forms taking too long to open

I have designed some simple forms that are "published" in a networked
server.
when my form users access the forms after connecting to the
"published" form thru the vpn network they have been complaining that
it take too long to open a form.

I noticed that theirs some settings that gives you the option to
uncheck if you don't want the form to update or look at the template
for any updates.
i tried to remove that option but noticed that as long as the user is
connected to the vpn and when the load the form automatically the form
looks for any updates thus making the form to take longer to upload.
