I am currently using Outlook 2007 but I have had this problem with several versions of Outlook. I am currently reworking all my rules so I only have a few of them currently set up. However, I have run into a few odd problems. One being I have a rule set up to to be:
"Apply this rule after the message arrives
with First_mailto:[email protected] in the sender's address
move it to the Other folder"
I am trying to Run it on my inbox and it is refusing to work. I have a couple of other rules set up exactly the same and they work. I have also verified that the email is set up exactly as it is in the rule. I have also tried "First Last", "First.Last", and "First_Last" and none of those work either.
The other problem I am running into is:
"Apply this rule after the message arrives
with Lastname1 or Lastname2 or Lastname3 in the sender's address
move it to the Another folder"
No matter how I rearrange the 3 Last names, the Lastname2 never goes to the correct folder but the other 2 do. I have even set up Lastname2 as its own rule and it still doesnt work. It's a very unique last name and I am spelling it right.
Also, both rules have the checkbox checked.
Is this a bug within Outlook? If not, how do I get these rules to work?
Thanks in advance.
