Simple question - Cut n Paste Excel into Visio

I use Excel to quickly prepare tables, lists, and general
text blocks that are pasted into Visio 2002, and would
like to prevent the Excel grid lines from being visible
on Visio file.

When the original text is pasted into Visio, the Excel
gridlines are not visible. After editing the Excel text
pasted on the Visio file, the gridlines become visible.

How can I prevent the Excel gridlines from being seen on
the Visio document ?

While in excel, select the area you are going to be
displaying and fill with a white background.
