Simple Spreadsheet random changes dates and colum colors?

Hi.

I have a simple spreadsheet, almost daily recent random dates in one of the
columsn change from 1 to 6 days and also the color changes in the row change
to red to black or black to red?

The background is that it is a 'manual' spread sheet for tracking items.
When an item is returned, we set the whole row red for that item using the
color pallete on the toolbar.

That's about it. The only formula on the sheet is a formula that subtracts
a date in a colum by todays date to get a difference in days. We manual
copy and paste this into rows when an item is late to show how many
days late the item is.

We also started using the filter more often on the entire spreadsheet to
help located things in the spreadsheet.

Any ideas? Thanks. I don't think its a virus as all else is fine?

A few columns have date formated cells.
We manualy set rows to red as part of our processing of data using the color
palette on the toolbar.

Is there any conditional formatting in the worksheet? It could be
causing the colour changes.

Are the dates that change the result of formulas? If so, perhaps by
copying and pasting you're creating incorrect references, which could
show unexpected results.

Hi.

Thanks for the reply.

I do copy the the formula =TODAY()-D1919 for example
and paste it into another row when I want to show the number
of days difference on that row. It appears to work, I had
expected to have to always do a past special values.

I do not know what you mean by condition formating? Is there such a thing
and how do you set it up please so I can check it? This is a speadsheet
'handed down to me' so I don't know what it could contain. I know it has no
macros though.

Thanks in advance.
