Simple.....text box issue

Hi all, I'm relatively new to this Visio application.

I'm creating some Windows Dialog boxes, and am having trouble trying to get
my text to appear on top of a form without a white box appearing. These are
only going to be used for a technical specification for some software, so
need to be able to put these into Word for printing. Can anyone help me??
I'm pulling my hair out.

You didn't mention which version of Visio, but I'll take a crack at this
anyway :)

Select the text with the problematic white background.
Format->Text
Select the Text Block Tab
Notice at the bottom of the dialog, there is a section called "Text
Background"
Make sure the radio button is "None".

Hope that helps, if not, please post again and I'm sure one of the MVP's
will be able to help

Hi Lori,

Visio 2003. The Text Block works a treat, but it seems to be the actual text
box that's a problem. I'm trying to get the same kind of effect that you do
in an explorer list box, where I can show black text (or any colour I fancy)
on top of a title bar!

I'm going old and grey trying to sort this out!!!

HELP!!!!

Thanks in advance, and thanks Lori for trying.
