Simplified Chinese language pack vocabulary

I just purchased teh Ultimate Steal download along with the language pack for
simplified chinese. It doesn't seem to have the entire package. There are
many characters for the same word on the version at school but the downloaded
version only has one. For example hao has 5 or so character spellings but in
the download it only has one. How do I get the rest of the package? hao
could mean "well" or it could be a number.... it does make a difference

There are so many Chinese input systems that it's hard to tell what's
going on -- in some of them you need to type space or enter to get the
list of characters beyond the one Word thinks is most popular.
