Since installing connector can't send email from hotmail account

I have recently installed Connector to enable Outlook 2003 to download email
from my hotmail account. This appears to work fine, however when I compose an
email in Outlook and send, it just sits in the outbox in my personal folder.
Hitting the send/receive button makes no difference. If however I reply to an
incoming email, it will send. Any ideas of what I need to do to make this
work? Cheers.

Have you verified that you have selected the correct account when sending?
Use the Accounts button near the Send button to select the sending account.

It works, thank you very much for your assistance, much appreciated. I also
managed to shuffle the hotmail account to the top of the list so it uses this
as the default on outgoing emails.

The position in the list doesn't determine which account is the default.
Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next. Select the account and click Set as
Default. That detemines which account will send a new message if you don't
specifically choose one.

And if the old hotmail http account is still in the profile, delete it.
