Since installing Nortion 2006, why can't I use "save as"?

I installed Norton AntiVirus 2006 and now I can't use the "save as" feature.
I have wiped out my computer reinstalled Windows XP Pro and Office XP Small
Business. As soon as I installed Norton again, I have the same problem. Any
Ideas?

First, disable the "Office Plug-In" in Norton. If upon restart that doesn't
fix your problem, then...

See: You may experience problems in Windows Explorer or in the Windows shell
after you install security update MS06-015
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=918165

If you aren't comfortable with editing the Windows registry yourself, then
go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll down to Item
No. 383 "Hewlett-Packard's Share-to-Web software - Fix". Download and run
the script to automatically modify your registry as described in KB918165.
You may need to temporarily disable your antivirus program in order to run
the script.

A revised version of the update is supposed to be released today, Tuesday,
April 25, to fix these problems.

Thanks, I was the MS06-015 problem. It all just coinsided with having to
switch computers and update. Thanks for everything. Next time, I'm coming
here first!!!

Glad to have helped. A revised version of the update is now out and you
should try it if you haven't already. In any case, leave the Norton plug-in
off.
