Single Card from a Multiple Contacts' file

When I have all my contacts from my cell transferred to my computer via
infrared the output is a file which if opened in the outlook presents only
the very first single card whereas when I try to open the same via textpad it
shows all the contacts.

How to overcome such a problem? Any free advice?

Not without any configuration info. Things like "the output is a file" is
much too vague to work with.
