single elimination tournaments

I need to design a db for a single elimination tournament, does anyone know
of any templates out there that i can use as my starting point??

There is tournament scheduling software available. Search the net for
'tournament scheduler'. I saw some for about $100. Price beats cost of
building app from scratch.
