Single ended line?

Well, not quite!
I would like to create a stencil object that is of type connector (a
line), but I only want this line to be able to connect to shapes at
one of its ends. The other end is to remain unconnected.

Is it possible to create such a beast? If so, how?

Thank you.

If you don't mind digging into the ShapeSheet you can pull this off, sort
of.

You've probably seen the little purple x's everywhere - the connection
points. Well, you can change the "type" of connection point to 1 or 2.
(Select a the DirX, DirY cell in a ShapeSheet.Connections row and press F1
for more help...)

This allows the shape that contains the connection point to snap to other
shapes. You can even set a direction on the point so that the shape snaps
and aligns in a certain direction. Think of it as the "Lego Features". You
can snap shapes together in a building-block fashion - a bit different than
connector lines.

The thing is, this works best for "2D shapes" - not the line shapes. Not
sure if it's what you need. But it is GREAT for attaching little indicators
and adornments to shapes without having to group them all together.
