I have a configuration issue with outlook 2003.
My issue is the number of rows that are displayed in the single-line layout
area, particulary for the Inbox folder. I keep having to drag top of the
reading pane down because the single-line layout keeps decreasing. I like to
see 8-10 emails in the Inbox list at a time. But outlook seems to have a mind
of it's own, and decreases that number to 4, 5, or maybe 6. I can never get
the number to stick. I drag the pane down, it looks ok. I change to Sent
folder, I have to adjust the viewing area, I go back to Inbox, it's no longer
what I set it to, and it is 4, 5, or maybe 6 again. Sometimes it stays for a
few days, and then will go back to the smaller number.
Is this a known issue and is there some sort of fix where the single-line
layout
count will stick?
I do not have my outlook window full screen. It is maybe 10.5"w x 8"h on a
19" LCD monitor at 1280x1024 resolution using 120dpi fonts.
I am using the following settings:
View > Arrange By > Date is checked
View > Navigation Pane is checked
View > Auto Preview is unchecked
View > Expand/Collapse Groups is greyed out
View > Reminders Window is unchecked
View > Refresh is greyed out
View > Reading Pane > "bottom"
View > Toolbars > Standard is checked
View > Status Bar is checked
I also have the "Find" menu exposed above the single-line layout area.
In the single-line layout, I have columns left-right:
Importance, Attachment, From, To, Subject, Received, and Size
I have the sort done on Received so that the newest email is at the bottom
of the list.
On the left side are my "Favorite Folders" and "All Mail Folders"
