Single Project 2003 Prof PC won't connect to Server

I have a single pc that suddenly cannot connect Project 2003
Professional SP2 to Project 2003 Server sp2a. No other PCs are
reporting the problem. No user id that is tried from that PC will
connect but that User's ID will connect from other PCs. The error
happens on Server connection, it returns "unexpected server response",
you click on a view button and it shows:
The server at 'http://servername/projectserverinstance' returned the
following error to Project.
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable.
....
....
Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer

The same URL works fine for accessing PWA from that PC and of course
pinging the servername is fine.
The site is a trusted site. It auto detects user setting and logsin
with user/pwd. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.


Any ideas or further debugging tips?

Neal:

Sounds like something blocking the port 1422 connection that the Project
client makes. XP machines have both firewall and browser security settings
to contend with.
