Site Backup & Subsite

I just followed the help directions to backup my site to a local drive, and
then I saved to a CD. It appears that my subsite, which is actually most of
the site, was not copied. Am I supposed to to that as a seperate backup?
Also, when I try to open the home html page, I get a page that appears to be
from my host stating that this site is still under construction. What is
happening?

When you published the site to your local, you have to check include subwebs/subsites or you have to
open the subwebs/subsites and publish individually.

Ah... thank you. Now that you've said this, I think I should have known that
from publishing in the other direction. If I do it again, and include the
subweb, then I should have a working copy that I can now use as my original
and publish from it, correct? I never used to work live, but when I got a
new computer a while back, this was just the easiest thing to do at the time.
