Site not working in Firefox, Opera, or for Mac IE

I'm a newbie to Web design, and built my site in FrontPage 2002. Website is
www.asustainableway.com When I pull it up in Firefox, it's totally inoperable
-- Same is true of the IE version created for Macs. This has been a most
unpleasant surprise, since it works beautifully in IE 6 for PC. What a
nightmare!
What's the solution to this dilemma? I don't know HTML. Is this an issue I
can fix myself without major brain damage, or would I be better off hiring
someone to do the work?

I opened it in FF and can't read the text in the boxes with a pattern behind
the words. The info link isn't.

Dump the VML graphics. VML (WordArt, ShapeArt, TextBoxes and other
objects produced from the Drawing Toolbar) can only be rendered in
Internet Explorer 5.5 and later running on Windows PCs. Other
browsers will see low quality gifs or nothing at all. VML also uses
absolute positioning - if this is not used correctly, different
browsers will render the page in different ways.
