Site Templates not showing

Hi there

Under Admin > Manage Windows SharePoint Services > Site Provisioning
settings > Site Template
I don't see a list of any Workspace templates, let alone the customised one.
I followed instructions from this newsgroup to create and add the template
using STSADM.EXE, it works fine, but does not show up in site templates?

During installation did you ever ran the WSSWiz.exe to populate the Project

Thanks for your answer.

In fact I migrated the data project and sharepoint from one server to
another (so I use the WSS wizard).

I added my own template (already working on the previous system following
microsoft explanations)

At this time I saw the 2 templates (standard + private) and could create my
WSS site with a project.

Then I made minor settings (email,...) and installed:
-view effective right
-rename proj
-Windows update SP1

I had trouble in the second step of the Windows update ... Since there was
no MS explanation, I use the following commands found in a forum

4. In the Command Prompt, type: proxycfg -d <Enter> <--This will set your
proxy service to direct access and clear the proxy cache.
5. Type: proxycfg -u <Enter> <--This will set the proxy for BITS to the
same settings as Internet Explorer.
6. Type: net stop wuauserv <Enter>
7. Type: net stop bits <Enter>
8. Type: net start bits <Enter>
9. Type: net start wuauserv <Enter>

Update was OK.

The system has been in production for a week without any visible problem
(except the one described).

It was such a hard job to migrate that I don't want to start again.

So Now I want to solve this (last) issue and I don't know how to start
investigatations.

Any help would be nice.
