Size Limitation

I am evaluating OneNote for my office and a question was posed to me that I
have not been able to locate an answer for. What would be the limitation of
a single thread (.one file)? I have seen numbers in excess of 50Gigg for a
single notebook, but what about the individual threads?

I would greatly appreciate your knowledge!

It is hard to put an exact limit since it may depend on your particular
configuration.
Your sections files (.one files) can be quite big if they are stored on your
local computer or remote file share - because OneNote does not need to load
the whole file. It has a way of loading just the parts that are needed.

If you store your notes on SharePoint however, you may want to keep your
section sizes down, because when OneNote synchronizes the files, it needs to
load the whole file from SharePoint. So if your section gets into tens of
megabytes, you may see slower synchronization. You can still have a lot of
sections in the notebook though.

So if I am reading this correctly, the size limits we will run into would be
physical disk space if we are storing the section files locally. Would that
be a true statement?
