Size of pst file

Hope somebody can help.

My outlook .pst file according to proproties in Outlook is 112,325 kb.

When I look at the file in Explorer it tells me the size is 7.63GB. Any
idea on what the difference is and how it has got so big?

I am having problems getting into outlook and have spend about 2 hours this
morning scanning the pst file and repairing it.

If you check, within Outlook, properties of Personal Folders, apart from
total size it will give the path & file name.
Ensure you are looking at the correct file in explorer

I have rechecked this and yes it is the same file.

Any ideas?

Did you recently delete a lot from this file?
Where is this file located?
When did you last check the file for errors?
Which version of Outlook are we talking about here?
