Size Reduction at Printing

Using "page view" the document appears to be properly placed on the page, but when I attempt to print, the preview pane shows that the text area is compressed to the upper left part of the page, the font reduced to about 70% of the size I specify in the document. Page layout is correct (A4), but for some reason, when I go to print, everything gets reduced and off center. I'm using an Epson printer, if that matters (which I doubt, as I had the same problem with my previous printer). This is not an issue with my copy of Word v.X. I'd like to use the newer version, but this printing issue makes it impossible. Thanks for any assistance.

Have you checked File> Page Setup in Word to make sure the correct Paper
Size is specified there? And that the Scaling option in the print dialog
isn't selected?

If all that is as it should be have you used Comment balloons in the
document? In Print What? See if "Document showing markup" is selected in the
Word options of the print dialog.

CyberTaz, I think you saved my ass here. There are comments on the document, which I guess throw the whole alignment off unless you specify Print Document Only. The default seems to be to print the comments, too. I don't see where I can change the default, so I guess it's a question of specifying it every time. Strange twist, but many thanks for your guidance.

Well, kinda... In a doc containing Comments or Tracked Changes the Reviewing
Toolbar should be displayed. If you choose Final (rather than Final Showing
Markup) before you print it obviates the need to make the change in the
Print Dialog.

I see. That toolbar wasn't visible, but now I've selected it and see the setting you're talking about. Thanks again for your help. Much appreciated. Look for a book called Lust in Paradise: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality, to come out in about a year to see what you helped me do!
