Hi. My office recently upgraded its Office suite to 2007 and Visio along
with it. I've noticed a peculiar issue I've not seen before.
I'm working with a sizable flowchart that, if left at the default settings,
would encompass more than a single page. I am trying to scale it.
I know how to do this (have done it many times before) - under Page Setup ->
Page Size, I select "Size to fit drawing contents" to ensure that the drawing
page includes the entire flowchart, and then under Page Setup -> Print Setup,
I select "Fit to 1 sheet across and 1 sheet down" to have the entire drawing
page print on a single physical page.
Before 2007, no problem.
With 2007, however, it wants to align the flowchart in the lower left-hand
corner of the paper, rather than the upper-left hand corner. I've determined
this happens only when the "Size to fit drawing contents" option is checked.
I have verified that it happens regardless of paper size or what printer is
selected, and my IT department installed a version of Visio 2007 on a
different machine to find the same result. None of us know why this
alignment is occurring or how to change it.
I'd be happy to send a file along if someone needs it to see exactly what
I'm talking about.
Advice appreciated.
