I am having an issue with resizing a sheet. I can't find the option in the 2008 Home & Student Edition. Anyone got it?

What do you mean by "resizing a sheet"? In what way? What kind of "issue"?
Provide particulars on exactly what it is you're trying to do & someone will
be glad to help out - but they have to have something to work with

okay, for example. I open a new blank sheet and it is 4x3. how do i change the size to 4x6? I think there should be an option to select a page size like Letter, Legal and so on but I can't find it.

I'm still not clear on what you mean - 4x3 *what*? Columns & Rows, inches?
Are you in Normal or Page Layout view?
The display size of the sheet makes no difference - you can stretch the
window to whatever your screen will accommodate. If you're referring to
*printing* - page or paper size - that's handled through File> Page Setup.
Click the Options button & choose the Paper Size you want or create a Custom
Size... But the program default is for Letter (8.5"x11").
If I'm still missing the point please provide a more detailed description of
what you mean.
