Skills MV matching not working

I recently set up a skill MV code (Enterprise Resource Outline Code 20)
to use for skills matching (when building a team or in the resource
substitution wizard). My question is do the skills sets on generic
resources have the real resources (i.e AND condition) or does it do a
contains search. Right now the generic resources are matchig themselves
which indicates to me that is an "AND" condition. Is this true? if so
how can this be changedz?

Your question is an excellent one! When Project Server performs skill
matching, the system builds a "Contains" filter. To confirm this, do the
following:

1. Open an enterprise project containing Generic resources
2. Click Tools - Build Team from Enterprise
3. Select a Generic resource in the list on the right
4. Click the Match button
5. Expand the Customize Filters section by clicking the + button

The Customize Filters section now reveals the exact filter that the system
uses to peform a "Match" operation. If the software is not matching
correctly, then this might indicate you have not set the correct attributes
for each human resource and/or Generic resource in the Enterprise Resource
Pool. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your quick response. I verifed your sugesstion and sure
engough it does a contains search. But it also appends a "AND"
condition to the skill sets, hence a resource only matches itself. When
i change the "AND" condition to "OR", i get back results that are the
same for ever resource i try to match against. This indicates that i
might have a problem with my skills enterprise code right? I can i fix
this? do i have to recreate it?

Also, how do i get Project to set the "OR" condition by default
