I have a spreadsheet that I would like to 'skin' using a number of
styled tables, vba scripts and branded images. I presume that I could
do this by having a 'presentation' workbook with all the styles and
connect it to a 'data' workbook.
I have little control over the 'data' spreadsheet. The number of
columns is fixed but the number of rows is variable.
I have tried using links to the data work and included a large row
range so that I capture all the rows. Unfortunately where the
'presentation' spreadsheet refers to a range in the 'data' spreadsheet
where there is no data, it presents a zero. I've used an 'if' function
to check if the target cell is empty and therefore return an empty
cell. However, when I come to sort the data, the empty cells are
included in the sort.
Could someone point me in the right direction. Is it a case of using
more advanced ways of getting the data? Or do I need the
'presentation' spreadsheet to work define a sort range on the fly.
Cheers
