"Skip Occurence" of recurring task creates 2 tasks

I'm having a strange problem with recurring tasks on all of our mailboxes
with Outlook 2007.

If someone has a recurring daily task. And either clicks the "Skip
Occurence" ribbon button or deletes the single occurence. The recurring task
moves to the next day AND a second task is created for the next day as well,
resulting in 2 tasks for that next day.

In outlook 2003 when one deletes the current occurence the task just moves
to the next day without creating a duplicate.

Is this something I can fix/change to work like Outlook 2003?
