Skip occurrence of an assigned task

Hi!

When I complete an assigned task, an update gets sent to the person who
assigned it to me. That's fine. But if I skip an occurrence, will the
person who assigned the task get an e-mail update that I skipped it, or do
those only go out for completed tasks?
