Skipping Saturaday and Sunday

I have a series of data related to the stock market and I'm plotting this on
a graph, but I ran into an "old" problem that I've forgotten how to fix.
The graph depicts a space for the no-data dates of Saturday and Sunday.

Isn't there a setting in Excel that interprets the chart for Monday through
Friday? I've looked and can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance. Brad
