Thanks for your persistence. I did reinstall the driver. Also, tonight I ran
a check with HP online to see if the printer driver was the most current
version. It is. Do you have another suggestion?

Print Preview is a pretty good indication of what is being sent to the
printer since Word uses information obtained from the printer driver to
display it. Did you remove the printer driver before reinstalling it? If not
it doesn't hurt to try and it doesn't take long.

When you replaced the printer did you also install another printer
driver?
Does it look okay in Print Preview?
Documents come out of the printer (which has been replaced, and the
skips
continue; that's why I believe it's a Word [2003 version] issue) with
random
horizontal skips. Does anyone have any ideas? Do I need to reinstall
Office?
