Slack Calculation between Subprojects

I have a Master project which contains a number of subprojects.
A task in the Master project (Let's call it Task 1) is dependant on 2 of the
subprojects and one of these subjects finishes 1 month later than the other.
In this case why doesn't the other subproject show 1 month's total slack ?

Hi Rick,

You may have the option, "calculate multiple critical paths" enabled. Go to
Tools > Options, Calculation tab, and disable the option. That should now
present you with a critical path flowing throughout the entire master project.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Julie,

I've tried changing the multiple CP option but it doesn't seem to make any
difference.

Any other ideas ? I can email you an example of what I mean if it helps ?

Thanks

Julie - your suggestion prompted me to look at some of the other options in
the same area and I think I've solved the problem:

Unticking the "Inserted projects are calculated like summary tasks" check
box shows the correct level of slack - many thanks for your help.

Hi Rick,

Glad to know you were able to work things out. Glad to have helped
(a bit) and thanks for the feedback.
