Sleep issue with Office

Good Day, maybe you can offer some help.

I just installed Office 2004 on my 600 MHz iBook G3.
Its running the latest version of Panther, will all updates installed.

The problem came after i installed the new Office. When i close my iBook, it
no longer goes to sleep.

I have traced this back to Entourage. When Entourage is running, the only
way i can get my computer to go to sleep mode, is by accessing sleep from
the Apple Menu. If I quit entourage, everything returns to normal.

Any ideas on how i can fix this so i dont always have to quit entourage
(which i usually forget to do.. this has lead to many a dead battery)

FWIW - iBook 700 - goes to sleep fine with Entourage 2004 running,
Notifications on, Panther 10.3.4.

Maybe the problem is limited to 600 MHz models?

Anyone else have results?
