Slide Design

1. If I have a slide deisgn for a slide, then how do I know what that
slide deisgn is called and how can I find that slide design on my
machine? In other words, I am trying to copy this slide design to
another slide in my presentation and I cannot find the darn thing.
This is silly I know.
2. Is there a way to see all the slide designs? Right now the best I
can do is through the format pallete?
..Using Powerpoint 2004 with Mac 10.4.10 Powerbook. thanks.tim

Hi Payton,

1. If you move the cursor over any slide design in the formatting palette a
small text box will appear and it will tell you the name of the design.

1 + 1. To find the designs on your machine go to the very last slide design
on the formatting palette. It's blue, looks like a finger, and its label
says "Select template." Click it and you will be taken to the Designs
folder.

2. The instructions in 1+1 will take you to all the designs that are in the
Designs folder. All of the designs that come with Microsoft Office are in
that folder. If you have made or acquired additional designs you should put
them into the Designs folder. The path is ...Applications:Microsoft Office
2004:Templates:presentations:Designs

Templates that are in the Designs folder appear in the Project Gallery in
the Designs section.

Only the designs that come with PowerPoint appear in the formatting palette
and it is not possible to add to the palette.

This is not silly at all. Keeping your designs together will make them more
useful.

Thanks John. Your info was better than what I had to stumble through
last night. Tim
