Slide format changes when importing into master file

Within PP is it possible to import a table/ graph/ text etc from a secondary
PP and have all of the imported material's format automatically conform to
formatting of primary PP file? We lose a ton of time reformatting material
when we are sourcing from old presentations, outside sources, etc.

Any insight into how I can "force" the formatting onto imported material
would be greatly appreciated.

If your formatting in the "primary" presentation is setup in the template or
master then using Insert, Slide from file should do it.

You may need to reapply the slide layout after pasting/inserting the slide.
Format | Slide Layout. Choose the appropriate layout.

However, as Kristin says, if the item is set up properly in the first place,
it should conform to the color scheme in the new file automatically. See
