Slide into poster?

Version: 2008 My coworker tells me that to make a poster for a work presentation, I do it in powerpoint. She says to make one slide with the information, then IT will turn it into a poster. I have NO idea how to do this? How do I format the slide to have different areas of information? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not being sarcastic, but it sounds like you are simply new to PowerPoint
altogether. Start by using PowerPoint Help from the Help menu & follow the
links in the Popular Training section of the Help Page. If you have any
specific questions or stumbling blocks someone will be glad to lend a hand,
but it's impractical to re-write the help file instructions here.

Do you need help working out how to implement a design in PowerPoint,
one you already have in mind or sketched out on paper?

Or do you need help with the design itself? What to put where on the
page, rather than how to put it there?

If the latter, ask her to point you at examples of the kind of thing
she's after so you can get an idea of what The Done Thing is in your
particular discipline.

If the former, see Bob's suggestion, then come back with more specific
"How do I...?" questions.

Either way, you'll start by setting your page size to the biggest size
PPT will allow that's still proportional to the final desired poster
size.
