slide sorter view doesn't work

I purchased a gateway pentium 4 computer and installed my 2000 version of
office. Powerpoint works fine as long as I dont' have the tiled / slide
sorter view. When I do this view, it takes a long time to load and won't
allow me to move slides around without crashing. Any edits I need to make
work just fine provided I am in the individual slide viewing mode. I have
tried shutting down other programs that my computer is running but this
doesn't help. I have no problem on my Pentium 3 computers. Any hints?

Hi,

First thing to check would be that you have all service packs installed.
Second, make sure you have the latest video drivers installed.
