Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I am using dual monitors and when I am in slide sorter mode and click to play out to the second monitor it does play out but then I can not scroll in the main monitor during play back slides. I can uses OS9 and powerpoint 98 and it will work but in OS x 10.4 when I click to play the menu bar goes away and the scroll bar is not highlighted. Thanks for any help you can give me.
