Slide to picture

I need to convert my Powerpoint slides to Tiff format
pictures. I know how to do this, but the quality of the
images is very poor, especially letters and numbers.
I've tried saving as other image formats, but with
similar results. Is there any way I can improve the
quality of the images that are created?
