Slide transition with movies

I inserted a movie in one of the slides. Right now, the movie begins
when the previous slide has finished fading. Also, the movie ends,
there's a white space and then the next transition (fading) starts to
go to the next slide. I would like the a nice fading between the
previous slide and the movie already in progress and also a nice fading
between the end of the movie still in progress and the next slide. Is
this possible with PPT? Can you tell PPT to start the transition just
before the end of the movie?

Hi Dynamite,

What version of PowerPoint are you using?

The questions you've asked depend a lot on the hardware you're using.
How fast is your processor? What kind of graphics card do you have
installed?

Jim,

I'm using PPT 2004 for Mac version 11.2. My machine is a Dual 2 GHZ
PowerPC G5 with 2.5 GB of memory. As you can see, I don't think the
machine is the problem. It seems PPT does not handle movies very well.
I need to tell PPT to start the transition just as the movie is ending
so that the transition is smooth and the film doesn't stop before the
transition begins. I'm pretty sure this is impossible but I'm hoping
for a miracle.

Hi,

I don't know whether the movie problem is due to QuickTime or
PowerPoint. Can you play two QuickTime movies and move them on top of
each other successfully?
