Slide with Flash file will not transition

Hi,
Hope someone can help me. I have a slide with a .swf file embedded on
it. For some reason, though, the presentation will not transition at
all from that slide. (I've set the transition time to 1 second,
though it hasn't helped) I've done similar slides with other flash
files without a problem. I thought perhaps this file was simply too
long.

Is there any way to just show a portion of the file, aka the first 7
seconds of it? Or can I force it to transition to the next slide?

Any ideas would be helpful.

Hi, it's me again. Come on, I'm sure all you Powerpoint brains out
there know how to correct this in your sleep! I realize that I don't
have a wonderful grasp of ppt...but was hoping some kind souls would
be willing to help me out...please!
We have a deadline for this presentation, and I am at a total loss.
I'm using ppt 2003 and have downloaded the latest macromedia flash.
Thanks in advance.
