An outline is the text in your presentation that is in your placeholders.
Inserting slides from outlines allows you to take text files or Word files
and turn them into the beginnings of POT presentations. How you add slides
from an outline to an existing presentation depends on which version you are
using. If you are really looking for help on outlines, post back with your
version. If you are (as John guessed and I am too) really doing homework,
check the help.
