slides loose formatting when copy pasted

I want to past slides from an old presentation (PP 2000) into a new
presentation (PP 2007) but the slides loose their formatting. I want them to
match the formating of the new presentation, but the text ends up much
smaller.

I used to be able to do this without incident when just using PP 2000.

Can anyone help me with some suggestions?

In Slide Sorter View, select of the slides that you have pasted and then
click the Reset button in the Slides Group of the Home tab. It will set all
of the selected slides to match the current layout/design.
