Slides randomly change while presenting

On multiple occasions while presenting with powerpoint, using an LCD
projector, the slides randomly advanced or reversed without prompting at the
computer or LCD remote. The presentation does not contain automatic slide
transition, hyperlinks etc. Additionaly the presentation froze, requiring
CTRL+ALT+DEL to end the program. It is not a highly complex graphic
presentation, in fact the presentation is 1.97MB

I've seen this behavior when the batteries of the remote control were nearly
used up. So you might want to give it a try with fresh batteries.

I've seen this type of strange behavior when multiple wireless devices are
in the same area.

On one computer at work, the secretary called IT complaining that her
computer was possessed. Documents would open and be edited in front of her
eyes, She would watch as the text was changed, highlighted, deleted and
saved in front one her eyes, while she just sat there not touching anything.
Once IT got done telling her they might need to replace her computer, she
asked me. It turned out that one of the other users in the next cube had
the same wireless mouse/keyboard and it was running on the same frequencies.

On the presentation computer, I would try un-plugging all the wireless
devices (and turning off the wireless connections) and see if the random
stuff stops.
