Slideshow slides appear cut-up horizontally

I have a PPT presentation which my father created in Powerpoint 2003 on
the PC. Previously under PPT 2004 SP1 for the Mac:

1) the graphics would not display properly and
2) although everthing looked fine in slide sorter and slide view, when
a slideshow was started, each slide would get cut up horizontally into
multiple slices and the pieces re-arranged.

With SP2 applied, problem #1 has been resolved but #2 remains.

I would be glad to Zip and send the presentation to someone for
testing.
