I have a CD with a slideshow of my granddaughter and I can't figure out how
to stop and capture single pictures off of it. Is it possible and if so, how
can I do it?

Do you have the full version of PowerPoint or are you using the viewer?

Additionally,

1. Are you certain it is in PowerPoint format (and not something like DVD,
VCD, etc.)
2. If you explore the CD using My Computer is the file extension .pps rather
than .ppt? If so open the file from within PowerPoint. This will take you
into editing mode. From there you can access the individual files.
