Hello all:
I've read various pages describing how to create Slipstream of Office 2000
with SR-1a, SP3, and other updates. One thing I haven't figured out: when I
finally install from a slipstream to a PC, will I be able to do custom
installation to choose which components I wish to install on the particular
PC?
For example, on my old Win98SE PC I would install Word, Excel, Outlook,
Powerpoint, etc. But on a new Vista laptop, I would install only Word and
Excel. Is this possible from a slipstream disk, or does a slipstream disk
mean that every installation will be identical to what options I chose for
the slipstream? (Sorry if I'm not explaining this well, but I've never
created a slipstream. It just seems like a good idea that could save some
time for me in future.)
Also, my Office 2000 Professional is an upgrade package (2 CDs). I also have
the MS Office 97 CD, which I normally insert when prompted by the Office
2000 installer. Can I create a slipstream disk in this case?
Thanks for any help and tips.
