slow action in the openfile dialog box

My problem is happening with all office program, when i'm trying to open a
file with the openfile dialog box the «navigation» become very slow. It seem
to freeze when i click on the drop down list to select a new drive and after
a moment the drop down list appear, then i select a local drive and again it
take a moment to show the content of the drive.

After some search on the Web i tried:

- to disable the «enable Office Plug-in» in Norton
- install the office 2003 SP2

but no success. Can someone can help me

Make sure that there are no unconnected network shares
listed in Windows Explorer. Start Explorer, click on Tools
then Disconnect Network Drives. If any are not currently
attached (unavailable) to the system, remove it.

As far as I am concerned, this is a bug in Office 2003 as it
only happens with the file structure in Office 2003 and
unattached network drives and not in any other program or
final version of Office released to date. This really
affects people who are using a laptop computer and taking it
between office and home networks where they have
"attachments" between the notebook and the networks at both
locations. Really a pain in the rear to have to write batch
files to do something that Windows and Office have
accomplished for years before with no problem.

Now it work perfectly. We add a power failure at the end of the week. So, i
let you imagine what happen!!!
