Slow application startup in Access 2002

I have an Access 2002 application with the data stored in two separate mdb's
on a Novell 5.0 server. The front-end mdb is located on each user's PC,
linking
to the tables in the two mdb's on the server. Although the application
starts almost instantly on my stand-alone PC at home, it starts up extremely
slowly on the Novell network, taking about 30 seconds to start. I would
appreciate any thoughts on ways to speed this up.
